Located in Orange County, NY this bathroom was a complete custom remodel. The existing bathroom was in much the same shape as the rest of the home, dated and neglected. Chris looked past the disarray and saw the opportunity to get creative.
Working with his father Jim, a Kitchen and Bath designer, layout options were presented and the direction of the build was on the way. Chris with his passion for “Craft” and details wanted to bring this space to another level of enjoyment. Knowing he was going to build a custom vanity and the overall direction of the space his wife Natalia decided to put him to the test. She presented Chris with a few ideas on vanity designs that she had found on Houzz. Liking different elements from what she had found Chris developed a design that encompassed them all. What they created with this vanity is certainly a defining statement for the space.
Driven with his passion the work didn’t end there, so he also fabricated and install a paneled wainscoting to wrap the room along with the other architectural woodwork details. All the mouldings coming from Kuiken Brothers Classical Moulding line. In the shower they decided to add a little pop by doing a “His & Hers” with multiple heads and a herring bone detail with the tile. The outcome is a classic styled room with some modern hints, a wonderful space for getting ready or winding down.
